[TOP 5] OUR SELECTION OF VR GAMES FOR 2021

Despite a challenging 2020, the entertainment industry has made significant progress.
Video game companies, benefiting greatly from repeated lockdowns, have all seized the opportunity to advance their upcoming VR titles.
Virtual Room has compiled a top 5 list of VR games that we are most looking forward to in 2021.

Wraith : The Oblivion – Afterlife

Wraith : The Oblivion – Afterlife is a virtual reality horror game set in the World of Darkness universe, a world similar to ours but inhabited by supernatural and monstrous creatures. You will embody Wraith: a recently deceased specter, and you will have to uncover the secrets of Barclay Manor as well as the reasons behind your own death. However, beware, as you may be followed by other specters in the manor…

The game will be compatible with HTC Vive, Oculus Rift and Quest, Playstation VR, and Valve Index headsets.

Why we’re excited for it: because it’s a horror game but also an exploration game where the environment around us can change, and also because at Virtual Room, we love solving puzzles!

After The Fall

In After The Fall, you find yourself in a post-apocalyptic, frozen 1980s Los Angeles in the year 2005. The terrible Snowbreed, resulting from excessive drug use, have caused the collapse of civilization. You and the other immune survivors will have to unite and fight together to regain control of this world.

After The Fall will be compatible with major VR headsets.

Why we’re excited for it: because it’s a multiplayer game where we have to collaborate for survival, and the Snowbreed remind us a bit of our Darwins from the AreWeDead mission.

Virtual Room Mission 4

And yes, our development studio will also have the pleasure of offering you a brand new adventure by the end of 2021. Video game enthusiasts and geeks of all kinds, step into a retro gaming universe and journey through reimagined classics of video games. We offer you a new collaborative virtual reality adventure that you can share with your loved ones.

Why we’re excited for it: Because our new adventure will take place in a completely new atmosphere and incorporate mechanics that you haven’t seen in our previous VR games—a great way to challenge your minds as a team!

Lone Echo II

The highly anticipated sequel to Lone Echo, Lone Echo II takes place after the events of the first game. The two protagonists have jumped through time and find themselves 400 years in the future. On board an abandoned space station, they will have to uncover its mysteries in order to find a way back home. The game will remain based on the same principle as the first installment: zero gravity, which will be a key element in solving various puzzles.

Lone Echo II will be available on Oculus Rift headsets.

Why we’re excited for it: because we greatly enjoyed Lone Echo I and the prospect of reuniting with Commander Olivia Rhodes and “Jack” excites us. Furthermore, the game is expected to implement new mechanics such as interactions with enemies, and we’re excited to discover these additions.

The Climb 2

Just like its predecessor The Climb 1, The Climb 2 is a VR climbing game that puts us in the shoes of a climber embarking on a breathtaking ascent. In mountainous landscapes, caves, or cityscapes, players can experience the adrenaline of climbing and discover stunning scenery safely from their living rooms.

The Climb 2 will be available on Oculus Quest and Rift headsets.

Why we’re excited for it: because this installment will allow us to climb skyscrapers in urban environments and discover stunning cityscape views. It will also feature “The North,” an expansion of the first game set in the Arctic.
